Capturing the beautiful details is one of my FAVORITE parts of the wedding day! I love capturing them in a way that makes them look feminine, editorial, & delicate. The details are so important & will be on full display! I love taking photos of the details & pairing them in different & unique ways that not only tells your wedding story but is also a reflection of your wedding theme & color story. Capturing these for my brides is so special & I know they want these photos to look back on & see all the little details of their day come to life!
The details include things like wedding shoes, loose flowers, invitation suites, wax seals, custom stamps, bouquet, rings, jewelry, ribbons, antique trays, cloth, ring dishes, ring boxes, wedding dress, veil, & any other special details!
Unique ideas are fabulous! Watercolor invitations & suites are absolutely stunning & you can have them customized, for example, with a painting of your venue! Wax seals also add a high-end look & finishing touch to your invitation suite & you can get them customized on etsy!
When I capture details I will usually photograph them in the getting ready room (if there is space) in front of a window with lots of light pouring in to give them that natural glow! Also, I usually turn off all the lights in the room I am in so that it won’t cast that orangey glow on the photos! One of my favorite techniques is turning the wedding dress around & using it as a backdrop for detail shots. The light white color of the dress gives the image a fresh light & airy style that I love. I also bring along a neutral colored style board & accessories as well! Cheers to sweet little details!!!
